How to make Gulab Jamun IN 2024

Gulab Jamun is a major form of Indian sweet made especially on all festivals and special occasions. To make it, a mixture of mawa (khoya), flour and sugar is prepared and then it is formed into balls and fried. These balls are put in jaggery or syrup and then cooled. Material:

1 cup khoya (mawa)
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp ghee
1 pinch cardamom powder
oil (for cooking)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
saffron thread (optional)

How to make:

1.First of all, take khoya in a big bowl and mash it well.
2.Now add flour to it and mix well.
3.Add ghee and cardamom powder to it and mix well again.
4.Make this mixture into small balls.
5.Heat oil in a pan.
6.Drop the balls in oil and fry on medium flame till they turn golden brown.
7.Next, make a mixture of sugar and water in a pan and add saffron threads to it.
8.Put fried gulab jamuns in this syrup and let it sit for 2-3 hours.
9.Gulab Jamuns are ready! Serve once it cools down and enjoy the dessert.

Now make small balls from this mixture.

Leave it for 1-2 hours so that the syrup can become dull and the gulab jamuns can absorb it properly.
