How to make Dhokla Recipe 

Dhokla is a popular Gujarati dish which is delicious and light. It also goes well with South Indian food and uses some common ingredients to make it. Following is the recipe to make Dhokla.

Material:

2 cups idli batter
1/2 cup semolina
1/2 cup chopped curd
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp eno foam
1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (til)
1 teaspoon coconut (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 teaspoon lemon juice
curry leaves (optional)

Recipe:

Make Dhokla Batter:

Take 2 cups of idli batter and add 1/2 cup of semolina, 1/2 cup of chopped curd, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of Eno Fen. .
Prepare Dhokla batter by mixing all the ingredients well.

Make Dhokla:

Now to make Dhokla, apply oil in the Dhokla stand or plate.
Pour the batter into the steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes.
Dhokla will be done when a toothpick in a perforated spoon comes out clean.

Prepare tadka:

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds to hot oil and add sesame seeds and curry leaves.

Season:

Make tadka and pour it on dhokla.
Slice and add spices:

Slice the dhokla and sprinkle 1 teaspoon coconut, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice over it.

Serve:

Cool the prepared dhokla and serve it on cut plates.
