Method of making Imarti
The recipe for making Imarti is a bit laborious, but the flavor is so amazing that it is worth all the hard work! Let's create:
Material:
* Maida (all purpose flour) – 2 cups
* Urad dal gram flour - 1/2 cup
* Soda bicarb - 1/4 tsp
* Curd – 1/2 cup
* Semolina - 1 tsp
* Salt - as per taste
* Water – as per requirement
* Coloured oil – for frying
For syrup:
* Sugar - 2 cups
* Water – 1 cup
* Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
* Saffron – a little (optional)
How to make:
First of all, mix flour, urad dal gram flour, soda bicarb, curd, semolina, and salt in a large bowl.
Mix this mixture slowly by adding water and make a glue with all the ingredients listed.
Now, cover it tightly and keep it aside for 4-5 hours.
Then, heat the oil.
Next, add prepared Imarti beta and fry them till golden color.
Take out the fried Imarti and let it cool a little.
To make the syrup, combine sugar, water, and cardamom powder in a water cup. If you want, you can also add saffron.
Add the cooled Imarti to this syrup and let it cool.
Ready, now you can enjoy your sweet Imarti!
